LCDR Joel A. Castillo (ret.) United States Navy

LCDR Joel A. Castillo is a native of Hobbs, New Mexico, who proudly served in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Control Limited Duty Officer.  His exceptional active duty career spanned over 28 years of service. His duty stations included the USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62), NAS Kingsville, USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70), FACSFAC Jacksonville, USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67), NAS Brunswick, USS BATAAN (LHD 5), Tactical Squadron Two Two (TRACON 22), FACSFAC VACAPES, and NAS Patuxent River.

He has multiple deployments and served in various operations and campaigns to include Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Southern Watch, Operation Desert Fox, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Global War on Terror.
